Mohammad Haszri Abu Hassan took on the role as the new Head of Legal on 22 February 2021 and has served at PRefChem since April 2019, primarily overseeing complex projects and commercial legal matters as well as dispute resolutions and regulatory compliances as a Legal Counsel.

He has 20 years of experience in private and in-house legal practice, with expertise on areas of corporate governance, commercial, dispute resolution, merger & acquisition and regulatory relating to various industries such as telecommunications, transportation and manufacturing.

Haszri obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tasmania, Australia in 1997 and was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1999.

Prior to joining PRefChem, Haszri was the Head of Legal at Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat (“SPAD”) where he was instrumental in supporting SPAD’s mandate to legalise and regulate e-hailing in Malaysia at large. He has also held various roles within Axiata Group Berhad and Celcom Axiata Berhad.
